Our approach

Care for the knives you keep.

A steady angle. A calm rolling motion. EdgeRoll is built around making everyday knife care feel approachable.

Pentagonal five-angle wood guide

One considered set

The $59 five-angle set brings together a magnetic wood base and dual rolling abrasives. The guide is marked 12°, 15°, 17°, 19°, and 22°. You choose the position that suits your knife and control the pressure and pace.

Tools with a little know-how

A guide can support an angle; good technique still matters. Our notebook covers blade fit, the rolling method, and care between sessions. We encourage you to start with your knife maker’s advice and use a different method when a blade is not suited to the set.

Details you can understand

The two abrasive grades are marked 400# and 1000#, described as approximately 400 + 1000 grit. These are nominal grades, not independently certified measurements. Wood tone can vary. Abrasive wear depends on your knives, pressure, and routine.

A routine worth keeping

Use light pressure. Clean your knife after sharpening. Wipe the wood dry and put the set away ready for next time. Small habits make good tools easier to live with.
